In 1987 Carlos Vaquera was the winner of our famous Close-Up Competition, he took 1st place in the competition held at the Kennedy Hotel, London, and the following year returned to present this lecture. I'm sure you'll agree when watching this, what a capable performer Carlos is and how he was the deserved winner of our 4th Close Up Competition.

 

Carlos begins the lecture with an excellent production of 4 coin under the Aces, he proceeds to amaze with the impossible production of a large Chinese Coin from between 2 cleanly shown Queens. This is followed by a Matrix using the coins and finally the Aces transforming into 4 cards with the images of the coins, the coins of course have vanished. This whole routine is less than 3 minutes with an amazing amount of magic taking place!

Next up is a Chameleon Card routine, Backs and Faces continuously changing during a poetic routine.

Then there's Carlos's thoughts on opening routines for a close up performance, cleanly producing 4 Queens and performing a false hypnosis routine.

Game of Observation is a transposition of two cards between the pack and the pocket, all very cleanly presented with plenty of tips.

The lecture concludes with a super Assembly of the 4 Queens and a location of the 4 Aces.
