Note from Martin:
These are Martin's notes...
Recorded in December 1998 and released as a video in 1999, Chad Long's lecture proved to be immediately popular. The instant demand was from those who attended the lecture, interested in recapturing the high quality magic & entertainment as much as the in-depth teaching of the routines along with the many handling tips.
Chad starts the lecture with a Flash 3 Coin Production. This is a routine where coins appear from balls of fire, they then transfer to a purse in a novel way, with the final one vanishing into a ball of fire before joining the others in the purse. A professional routine, that was an important part of Chad's Magic performed in Bars (this routine requires use of Flash Paper)
Deck Support is next - An excellent way to introduce a regular pack of cards for a 'Lay Audience'
Oil & Water - This classic is presented in a most direct manner, with a whole deck version at the climax
Coin Matrix - Chad introduces this with a simple yet extremely effective production of coins under the four cards, then making use of a standard Boston Box, he proceeds with a direct presentation of this staple of magic.
Now Look Here - The cards are reintroduced for this comical routine, where a selected card (can be signed) is seemingly lost, appears in what seems an impossible location. Great use of simplicity of routine.
Pop Gun - Chad's take on the Mid-Air Card Stab (using a plastic toy sucker gun). It's simple, it's direct and it's powerful! A great finish to the lecture.
Along the way, there's tips on performance, plenty of fun and anecdotes, gags and routines with Sharpie Pens, keys and even spray cans. Most of all, there's more than an hour of quality magic that you'll enjoy watching again and again.
